altera_dma driver PCIe under linux

Hello,

I am testing the PCIe dma with the Arria V starter kit using the reference design from Altera. The design works with the GUI under Windows. But I need to modifiy the program so i need it to work under Linux which it doesn't. The PC is the same, the FPGA keeps programmed during reboot (so after restarting the PCIe-program still works under Windows) and is detected under Linux too.

I have found an error which I don't understand:
Code:

sudo lspci -vv | grep Altera
02:00.0  Non-VGA unclassified device: Altera Corporation Device e003 (rev 01)
Kernel driver in use: Altera DMA
pcilib: sysfs_read_vpd: read failed: Input/output error

Has someone an idea or encountered the same problem?
