Hello,
First, thank you for taking the time to read this post. I am currently in the simulation stage of development of a VHDL design that uses a RAM block (M9K) to generate a histogram. My test vectors produce the expected results, but Modelsim (version: SE-64 10.1c) is behaving oddly. In the wave viewer, when I zoom in, everything looks normal in all modes (expanded time off, expanded times deltas, and expanded time events). When I zoom out and turn on either of the expanded time modes I can see many signals with multiple transitions during a time step (clearly an issue), but when I zoom in to try to debug the issue they are gone. Has anyone seen anything like this? I have turned off all optimizations and turned on hazard checking but this does not seem to make a difference.
Attached are two screen shots of ModelSim, one showing the hazards and one without. Also, attached is the script I use to compile and run the simulation.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Noel
